Imagine Not Being Able To Read - Alarmingly many Indigenous Australians are completely illiterate

The ability to read is a skill that most of us take for granted. Tanya spoke to Suzy Wilson from the Indigenous Literacy Day Steering Committee about the alarming rate of illiteracy in remote Australian indigenous communities. Next Wednesday, September 5th, is Indigenous Literacy Day. Visit participating bookstores on Wednesday and a portion of proceeds from all books sold will be used to assist this vital project.
